The updaters have requested more times than we can count that GMs please provide a link with their Transactions when they send a player to the DCHL.

This is a fair request, as it helps GMs insure that they do not receive a Strike for demoting a player with NHL experience. As we all know, if a player has NHL experience he is ineligible for the DCHL.

In future, if a GM does not provide such link, the Transaction is to be ignored by the updaters, and the player will not be moved on your roster page or in the sim.

Also, a couple of reminders for the new GMs in particular:
- If you have a player who is injured or suspended for more than 7 days, you must in a Roster Move sending that player to the IR. In this case, said player then must remain on the IR for at least 7 days, even if he returns after 5. If a player is injured or suspended for less than 7 days (for example - "Day to Day"), then the GM has the choice to place him on the IR, and can activate him when he is healthy again. This is important because you are able to use an Emergency Call Up to replace that player on your roster, and the player called up can then be returned to the farm without clearing waivers once you injured player returns. Make sure you indicate that the player is an Emergency Call Up both when you bring him up and when you return him to the farm.

- The roster shown on your Roster Page is your official roster. Transactions must be submitted for any and all roster moves through Transactions before you request or make the move in your Sim Roster. The only exception is if you are moving a forward to another legal forward position.

If any GMs are having issues understanding any of the process, both Eric (roselli) and Krom (krom) have volunteered on the forum to help clarify any questions you might have. As well, please feel free to ask any veteran GM or to PM the Commissioner or Head Office.

Scott Gomez was injured for 7 days exactly I think . . . .

What's the rule here?

I have just put in a roster move taking him off the IR as it's only been 5 days. But he's healthy . . . . so if it's 7 days or less than this will work. If it's 7 days or more then there's going to be an issue.

Thanks for looking into this!

I think in the past it has always been based on the time line that the injury list states for that player being out. It states in the official rules that a date is supposed to be put beside the player's name on your IR if this is in effect, so maybe you are ok?

I know it is posted in the rules, but I honestly can't ever remember this being done, does anybody else?

Clicking ROSTERS -> INJURED RESERVE in the menu will take you to the official IR of the OHL. The one the sim outputs is for reference. When you see a player on the sim injury-list who is either scheduled to be out at least a week, or is suspended, you MUST submit a roster move transferring said player to the official IR or Suspended list. It is also obviously allowed to send players to IR who suffer just minor injuries if you so please (could be to clear cap for example).

However when a player is put on the official IR list he will have a date added to his name. He can not be activated from IR until 7 days have passed from that date (as per the NHL). If a player goes on IR on the 10th, he cannot be taken off IR until the 18th at the earliest.

The player will not be allowed to play in games before being activated off IR. Playing a player still officially on IR will result in A STRIKE FOR THE GM and POTENTIAL suspension of the player in question.
