Famously the best conference in the OHL, the Wales Conference utterly dominates their weaker brethren from the Campbell at the 2010 Olympic Games. In total 174 players contracted by OHL clubs will travel to Vancouver for the tournament. 105 of those belong to Wales Conference clubs. Only 69 call the Campbell home. The Pittsburgh Penguins, in first place overall during the Olympic break, lead all teams by sending 17 players to the Games. The struggling Montreal Canadiens rank second with 15 Olympic ahletes on their roster. Three other Wales clubs join the Penguins and Canadiens on the top 5: Boston and Philadelphia both have 11 while the Toronto Maple Leafs own 9 Olympians. Anaheim, Columbus and Los Angeles leads all Campbell teams with 8 representatives, same amount as the New Jersey Devils. At the bottom of the standings we find the Calgary Flames who are the only team not to send a single player to the Olympics. That is just absolutely horrible. The Carolina Hurricanes, famously ignorant of their franchises uselessness, send only 1 player to the games. Normoyle has built a team nobody can be proud of. The games open tonight with USA vs. Switzerland and Canada vs. Norway.
